The articles of confederation served as the first constitution of the U.S. before being replaced by the present day constitution.
The bill of rights consists of the first 10 amendments of the U.S. constitution.
The preamble is an introduction explaining the purposes, main ideas and goals of the constitution.
Checks and balances are used to limit the actions of the government branches to make sure one branch doesn't have more power than the other.
There are three branches of government. The judicial branch, the executive branch and the legislative branch. The judicial branch evaluates laws and is made up of the supreme court and lower level courts (state and county courts, etc). The executive branch is responsible for enforcing the laws that the legislative branch creates. The president is the head of the executive branch. The legislative branch is responsible for creating laws. Parts of if are Congress, which includes the house of representatives and the senate.
This is what i've got so far, I'm not sure on the other questions.
