guys can someone help me on what I should know be4 joining track??
its ALOT of work
gotta keep up with others, gotta have c's or better, and a lot of practices
drink tons of water to keep yourself hydrated but not to much to the point where you throw up when you run, and be mindful of where you run because you could bump into someone, excercise maybe 2-5 mins before a race or 20 min excersise a day so that you don't hurt a joint or something like that
I do many things in track, and this is my 3rd year doing it. I say, drink lots of water, and I also say it takes a lot of mental strength along with physical strength.
Also, Practice outside of school, and always stretch!
Before joining track, focus on building a fitness base with consistent running, hill sprints for power, and core strength (planks, crunches), while researching events to find your fit. Proper nutrition with carbs, hydration, and sleep (8-10 hours) are crucial for energy and recovery, along with essential gear like proper shoes and a water bottle. Familiarize yourself with the track by jogging laps and practicing form, and remember to warm up, cool down, and stretch thoroughly to prevent injury.
all of this advice is rlly helping
