Determine the points at which the function is discontinuous. x+8/(x-7)(x-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the function is discontinous wherever the denominator = 0, and that will happen when x = 7 or 1

yep, and its because at x=7 and x=1 f(x) approaches a vertical asymptotes and thus lim(x-c) f(x) doesnt not exist
