The volume V of a right circular cylinder is given by V=pi r^2 h where r is the radius and h is the height. If h is held fixed at h = 5 inches, find the rate of change of V with respect to r when r = 4 inches. The rate is in squared inches.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

rates of change... if h is held constant then its value can be considered as a constant. V = pir^2 5 5pi | V' = 2r V' = 10pi r when r = 4 the volume is changeing at 40pi....
