so, if the point C is on line p, then there are two points 5 meters on either side of C on line P, which are equidistant from both m and n But if C is anywhere else except on the line P, there is only one point on line p which is 5 meters from C which is equidistant from both m and n

then there is only one point on line P which is 5 meters from point c. So if you draw a perpendicular line from line n to line p, the length of the perpendicular line will be 5 meters. The point where the perpendicular intersects line p is the only point which is 5 meters away from point c and also equidistant from both line m and line n
