how do you evaluate integrals?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{2}^{3} 2x dx\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well just the antiderivative is x^2 so we plug in the endpoints = 2(3)^2-2(2)^2=18-8=10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Rather (3)^2-(2)^2=5 since x^2 is the antiderivative.
