I am. Check out Aptana Studio 3 ( http://www.aptana.com/). It comes with pydev preinstalled.

I'm using a different programming language all together. I'm using PHP, javascript is probably a better choice.

I've just started this course today and I'm using Geany. I imagine that for more complex things a python-specific or more full-featured IDE might be helpful, but I find that if I don't have to type it all out myself I don't understand it as well. For that reason, a more basic editor without excessive hints seems like a good way to go for me.

+1 for geany

I think Vim can solve all the problem like syntax highlighting, debugger, auto completion, light weight. You can use it when you are accessing through a server .Else you can try eclipse or netbeans

Well, I´ve used eclipse for quite some time now, so I just downloaded the pydev extension, along with jython (can´t install python in my job´s workstation). Other than that it is quite fine.

why do you care hehe. for editing use emacs on ubuntu/linux ##terminal for prompt(cmdshehe)
