x = -(3/2)y x = (3/2)y - 2 Please help! I need to get this system into a y = ? format, for my graphing calculator. I can't seem to divide each side by the needed fraction correctly...does anybody know how to show and explain, how to divide an entire equation by a fraction?

\[x=-\frac{3}{2}y\] \[y=-\frac{2}{3}x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[x=\frac{3}{2}y-2\] \[x+2=\frac{3}{2}y\] \[y=\frac{2}{3}x+\frac{2}{3}\times 2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or \[y=\frac{2}{3}x+\frac{4}{3}\]

So what about the other equation with the negative sign in front of the 3/2? Do I multiply the other side by a negative 2/3 or a positive 2/3?
