graph the linear equation x-y=4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Easiest way is to ind the x and y-intercepts or "what the other value is when one of them is zero." If x=0, then x-y=4 -> 0-y=4 -> 0-4=y -> y=-4 so y-intercept at y=-4 or (0,-4) If y=0, then x-y=4 -> x-0=4 -> x=4 so x-intercept at x=4 or (4,0) Having plotted those two points, you now have two points to draw a line through. The line should be sloping up to the right and pass through the -4 on the y-axis BELOW the origin (0,0) and then through the 4 on the x-axis.
