I paid $61.02 for a pair of shoes after taking off 40%. what was the original price of the shoes before the 40% off? (I got $101.70)

61.02*40/100=24.408 then add 61.02+24.08 You should get 85.1
ok i know if they were 50% off the original price would be 122.04. could i take 10% off of that and fine original price?

when you was adding the 61.02 and 24.08 how come you took out the 4 from 24.408?
61.02/0.6=10.7
