graph and find the y-intercept of the equation y+x=-10

OpenStudy (angela210793):

take x=0 and u'll have y+0=10 y=10 (0;10)

OpenStudy (angela210793):

well to graph this all u have to do is find two points...1 is the one i found above and the other one would be.....take y=0 and u'll have x=10 so (10;0) all u have to do is join this points :)

OpenStudy (angela210793):

let me draw it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i can plot (0,10) and (10,). i got that now the y-intercept that is rise over run correct?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

see the attachment

OpenStudy (angela210793):

y intercept is (0;10)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i have it graphed correctly. how come its not negtive?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

oops.....sorry...i've seen it wrong the graph must b in points (0;-10) and (-10;0)

OpenStudy (angela210793):

sorryyyy!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats ok, so the intercept would be (0,-10)?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it will be in the third quadrant

OpenStudy (angela210793):

thew way I solved it is correct anyway :)

OpenStudy (angela210793):

@vinitkocharekar yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok can you show me the new way you graphed it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k thanks angela for the medal bye and bye tena gota sleep now

OpenStudy (angela210793):

attach...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks vin!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok great i have it graphed correctly. the y-int wold be (0,-10)?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

yea..:) tht'd be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks soo much

OpenStudy (angela210793):

yw :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea this graph is correct finally

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bye now

OpenStudy (angela210793):

lol :P

OpenStudy (angela210793):

bbye

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have a good day

OpenStudy (angela210793):

night*** :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 1 am here so newaz good day will be tommo ur very smart angela thanks

OpenStudy (angela210793):

I know..I knowww :P:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you type the squared number into the room?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

O.o for example X^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh the ^ would mean squared

OpenStudy (angela210793):

I didn't get ur q...O.o

OpenStudy (angela210793):

yea it does :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u hav a option down here where we type the option says equation ....\[x ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is my second day in here lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks

OpenStudy (angela210793):

:) yea u can also use the blue button ''equation'' below

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i gues we are done here

OpenStudy (angela210793):

yea...u can go to sleep :P:P I'll go to study biology :SS

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[p(x)=^{x}-2x+4\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait that didnt do right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh there u go keep doing tat keep practicing or remem tat site i gave u

OpenStudy (angela210793):

is it \[x^2-2x+4?\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its supposed to be x squared lol

OpenStudy (angela210793):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea but p(x)=then the rest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[tena ^{2 }=angela ^{2}\]

OpenStudy (angela210793):

O.o....:P how can u square 2 ppl? :P anyway going now...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i will figure that out later lol
