help me with coronary circulation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Heart has got 2 coronaries(arteries)- Right and left. They arise from the Right and left coronary sinuses, from aorta respectively, just distal to the aortic valves. Right coronary ( RCA)- Runs in right Inter-ventricular groove, giving branches to Right Atrium, Right Ventricle and inferior-posterior aspects of Left ventricle. There is an artery called posterior descending artery runs in posterior inter-ventricular groove & supplies the inferior part of Inter-ventricular septum(in 90%of cases of R dominant system and by circumflex branch of left coronary in remaining 10%).RCA supplies SA node in 60% of cases and AV node in 90% of cases. Left coronary (LCA)-within 2.5 cm of origin from left coronary sinus LCA divides to Left anterior descending ( LAD),which runs in anterior inter-ventricular groove & circumflex artery(CX),which runs posteriorly in atrio-ventricular groove. The LAD gives branches to anterior part of the septum, the anterior wall and the apex of left ventricle. The CX gives marginal branches which supply lateral, posterior and inferior segments of Left ventricle. Ref: Davidson (20th ed)
