so my question is that how can we use the n factor to balance chemical equations. My chemistry teacher taught me but i couldn't understand!

You just have to ensure that the number of the elements is the same on either side of the equation. Eg. H2 + O2 -> H2O (Sorry, I can't get the subscripts!) Here you see that there are 2 hydrogen atoms on either side. But, there are 2 oxygen atoms in the LHS, but there is only one oxygen in the RHS. The equation isn't balanced because the number of the oxygen atoms on either side don't match. To balance the equation, you have to make sure that the number of atoms on either side is the same. 2H2 + O2 -> 2H2O Now the number of hydrogen atoms on either side = 4, oxygen = 2. Hope that helps!
thanx
