ydx-4(x+y^6)dy=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

try reciprocal: dx/dy = (4x+y^6)/y let me know what did you get...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know which method to use to solve it. And the 4 should be distributed to the y ^6 as well.

i used integrating factor - check your book. you re-write your eq as: dx/dy -4(x/y) = 4y^5 agreed? the integrating factor is: \[e ^{-4\int\limits_{ }^{}dy/y}=1/y ^{4}\] can you finish it?

Thank you so much. I think I've got it from here.

let me know if there is a problem - I'll be on line for another 1/2 hour :)
