How do u set this up -> Five times the difference between a number and two is greater than the quotient of two times the number and three. Find the smallest integer that will satisfy the inequality.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let the number be n. Five times the difference between the number and 2: \[\implies 5(n-2)\] The quotient of two times the number and 3: \[\implies{ 2n\over 3}\] That help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"a number" is represented as x so "the difference between a number and two" is x - 2 "five times the difference between a number and two" is 5(x - 2) "is greater than" is the symbol > "the quotient of two times a number and 3" means 2x/3 (quotient means division) put it all together and you get the mathematical sentance 5(x - 2) > 2x/3
