I think if u look closely, they are two chords and not the diameters, otherwise the centre O would hv been marked......

I was guessing since it looks like a paint drawing it may not be technically accurate, but regardless where are you getting 2*x = 3*6 from?

@Blacksteel It is based on the theorem which states: " If two chords intersect inside a circle, then the product of the segments of one chord equals the product of the segments of the other chord." :))

You're right - I wasn't thinking but obviously if both were diameters the segments would have to be equal.

after all, diameter is the biggest chord!!! so it also has to obey the law for chords!!
