Steroids include estrogen, cortisol, progesterone, and testosterone. Estrogen and progesterone are made primarily in the ovary and in the placenta during pregnancy, and testosterone in the testes. Testosterone is also converted into estrogen to regulate the supply of each, in the bodies of both females and males

steroids are substances which have a basic sterol ring/architecture. They can be natural or artificial. Naturally they are synthesized in the body from cholestrol. They have varying degree of actions in our body. eg: Natural-Androgen, Oestrogen, progestone, Mineralocorticoids, .....etc Synthetic- hydrocortisone, Prednisolone, Nandralone etc..... synthetic steroids are used by certain athletes/body builders for muscle mass building/improving performance.
