Hello there, I have a question: Does every independent clause need to have a verb in it. For e.g. I went to a party. I = subject, went to a party = predicate and IT HAS THE VERB "went". Is this true for all sentences OR will there be sentences which don't have a verb in them?

Clauses come in four types: main [or independent], subordinate [or dependent], relative [or adjective], and noun. Every clause has at least a subject and a verb.

Okay if i help you can you help me with some physics do you think?

Good question. An independent clause needs a verb BUT it may be an "understood" verb and not necessarily in written form. Ex. "Their pizza is great" could be "Their pizza, great." or "Life is good. Death not so much." The subject may also be understood.
