An integer is a whole number on the number line. You are asking a lot of not very complex questions, you should be able to handle with a little effort.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actualy can u just answer them im in a rush

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PLEASE :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's a "whole number". Is it a comparison with a part of a number?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a whole number as opposed to a fraction or a decimal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am familiar with Integer(Z) which includes 0 and Naturals(N) which may or may not include 0 depending on whether you are a number theorist or not) I am not familiar with "Whole number" (according to your definition it could be an irrational, transcendental....).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am not giving a technical answer. I am simply saying a whole number refers to what you described as an integer. When you are a little kid in school, the teacher says whole number, if she says integer the poor kid wouldn't know what she is talking about.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This makes no sense, both of the op's uploaded questions are all about "integers". Introducing a useless expression like "whole numbers" just confuses the issue unnecessarily. It's the question I am complaining about.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, I understand. It is an elementary level of math. You are a little more advanced, in fact, you are in what they call higher math. :)
