find the slope & y-intercept 6(x)=-6x-5
there is no y in this equation so there was probably a typo.
well it has an answer
the answer depends on where the y is
slope is -6 and y-intercept -5
wrong. if the y is on the left side then the slope is -1 and the y-intercept is -5/6
right you would have to divide each side by 6 first
yes but there is no Y
but if there was a y ur answer will be correct
right thats still a problem but if it was 6y=5x-6 then you would have to divide each side by 6 to get y=Ax+B formula
ok well i still need an answer
well if you give us the correct equation we can tell you the answer.
you deserve a medal for that :) and yea, we still don t have a solvable equation and you won't go back and look at your error
actually, i think it would be the same either way, since they are both being multiplied by 6 and by switching sides they keep the same values.
lol, thanks elizated. :)
i did go back its not a typo dont u think ive already looked at that that is the equation
lillof can u rewrite ur question properly please so we can help u
GE IT RIGHT THIS TIME! jk :) but seriously get it right.
lillof, there has to be a typo, maybe in the book. with only one variable there is no y-intercept, there is just an equation for x which will give you a vertical line. i highly doubt this is what they were trying to do
maybe yous are not listening to me that is what the equation is that they gave me and its not a book itas a quiz im doing for my school online
you know, i just just had a great reply written out but you're being kind of a jerk and frankly i don't want to help you cheat on your quiz, so you can go ahead and figure it out yourself.
i so wish i could give you another medal right now...
so then i think the answer is slope is -6 and y-intercept -5
i wasnt being a jerk everyone basically said i wrote it wrong and i said i didnt and i do realize people write their problems wrong but i didnt and all yous did wass down me and it wasnt right
that, my dear, is a run on sentance.
lol.
just because it was a wierd equation doesn't mean we were attacking you about it. We are all here to help, as long as you are willing to be cooperative and work with us and actually learn. i'll tell you this. the equation you gave, if it is correct, will not intercept the y-axis, and actually it will result in 0= -5, which is pretty much false in almost every scenario. the equation for a line is y=mx+b where m is your slope and b is your y-intercept. so whatever equation they give you, if you can get it down to that form, you can find your answer.
