can low calcium intake stint bone growth?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. because calcium phosphate is an integral part of bones. but with calcium intake vitamin D is also necessary, because increased calcium will have no effect if vit D is unavailable.

OpenStudy (aroub):

yes true AR ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. that is why people say 'drink milk' it has a lot of calcium... ^^

OpenStudy (aroub):

yes lol!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YES!. osteoperosis will occur if one does not receive the proper amount of Vit D and calcium in their diet. People constantly shed and gain bone layers. (newest in the center oldest on the outside- just like the rings of a huge oak tree etc.) when you get older you shed more and gain less (30s-40s for females 40s-50s males) but can happen sooner if you dont receive the proper amount of vit d and calcium younger during puberty or teenage years.

yes, the bones will weaken without enough calcium and eventually get smaller and smaller (not nesacarilly in length) but in a way tha jonhamilton said
