Allrighty guys, I am doing something wrong, its probably very stupid... but anyways, the problems attached... I'd appreciate help ASAP... this is for a class i'm taking online...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

obviously positive, use slope formula or just count...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain how? I am sooo lost!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't view docx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

me neither

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, the line is going from left to right.. so that means it's positve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(word doc is probably really new..)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anyways.... if the answer is positve, then that means it's either 5/4 or 4/5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

PDF FILE>. Hope this one works...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i see it look for the triangle and count rise over run.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OR you could do point slope formula.. but countings easier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(also, can you guys take a look at my question?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right you have two obvious points, (0,2) and (-3,0). So slope = 0-(-3) / 2-0 = 3/2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you have two points (x,y) and (x1,y1) the slope = (y1-y) / (x1-x) and the answer is 2/3 (sorry I had it wrong above).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have I cleared it up or made it worse?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay... I believe you have cleared it up... I was taking a little quiz for my algebra online class, and I scored 80% on it... not to bad right??? Ehh, oh well... perfectionism has gotten my nowhere... Thanks for the help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Notice that 2 is the "rise" and 3 the "run"....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

80% is pretty good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess... thanks sooo much! I probably would've failed without help! :D
