how do u make sure you write an article to a newspaper which people will love

There are many ways to approach writing journalistic articles, but one of the most common is the inverted pyramid structure. Basically, what this amounts to is supplying the most important information at the beginning of the piece, then covering additional information by order of importance. In such an approach, the first line, or lead, must convey the gist of the piece. One should be able to read the first paragraph of this sort of news article and know immediately what the piece is about. The last line or paragraph is the least important; this allows editors to easily cut unnecessary information. Section 1: Lead The most pertinent information, who, what, where, when, how and why. Section 2-end: More information in order of decreasing importance. Last section: The least essential information. Consider the Newspaper Audience Writers should also provide background information when writing about the latest in a series of stories on a particular subject. Provide background information on past proceedings and clearly outline the evolution of the story. Writers should always assume that the reader has no prior knowledge of the event, organization, etc. This same rule can also be applied when covering an event or when writing a story about an organization. “My rule of thumb is this: Assume that the reader has never read your publication. Reporters should then fill-in any gaps in the information,” Wood-Boyle explained. Complementary information, such as the history of an organization or event, should be prominently cited in a story. Often, this information is included at the end of the piece, after the most important and timely information is discussed. _Extra tips_ Use quotes to enhance the article. Make sure that your quotes, or any descriptive background information, are relevant and factual. Most paragraphs in news articles contain a maximum of three sentences. Thank anyone you interview and be sure you get the correct spelling of their name and title. For beginning reporters, it is good to use your voice recorder while taking manual notes. This will allow you to accurately quote an individual, and give you practice of taking good notes. Newspaper articles should be written without bias. You should report the facts objectively. Steer clear of giving personal opinions in your article. This is not a review or critique. Do not write in the first person. Don't use a lot of flowery descriptive language. Get to the point.

Make sure it will appeal to a person's emotions, ask yourself, will it make them happy? sad? scared? I know this is short, but still good I hope. Oh, and make sure it is current. And no offense, but use good grammar, *****how do u make sure you write an article to a newspaper THAT people will love***** sorry! I'm obsessed with editing.

If you want people as in the readers to love it/you. Don't give a pellet and write your opinions as blunt as possible. If you want the newspaper/media to love you. Be liberal and politically correct.

Depending on your audience, you might receive different reactions. It's always harmless and effective to be blunt, but not too much, as your article could end up being rated as very poor. Always add in a funny joke or phrase that everybody will understand (and it can't be corny or rude!). And last but not least, do not add in unnecessary details that make the article boring. Just say what you need to say, and get it over with!
