why is the molar mass of hydrated sodium sulphate 268.18?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many water molecules does it hydrate with in you example, 268 would suggest 7 water molecules which is possible, but less likely then the decahydrate which has a molar mass of 322.20. In answer to you question, the molar mass of hydrated sodium sulphate will be the molar mass of the anhydrous salt plus ~18 for every water molecule it hydrates with.

in my textbook, it asks: Consider that you had 10.00g of sodium hydroxide, what mass of hydrated sodium sulphate crystals (Na2SO4.7H2O) could be produced by reaction with excess sulfuric acid? okay sorry about that I jus miscalculated
