Multiply and simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3y^5/8r3*64r^6/9y\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so:\[\frac{3y^5}{8r^3} \times \frac{64r^6}{9y}\]???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what does your followup "8^3" mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I was doing a different problem yes the equation you have set up right I was just fixing a typo I wrote on the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK, so:\[\frac{(3y^5)(64r^6)}{(8r^3)(9y)}\]then cancel 3y from both:\[\frac{(y^4)(64r^6)}{(8r^3)(3)}\]then cancel 8r^3 from both:\[\frac{(y^4)(8r^3)}{(3)}=\frac{8y^4r^3}{3}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you just see what goes int 9 which is 3 the but how did you get 8y^4
