graph the equation and identify the y-intercept 6y+5x=-18 (as an ordered pair)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you see any equation like this, what you do is, first solve for y. You know the y intercept is where x = 0, so replace x with zero, then find what y equals. The ordered pair will be (0, -3)

i do not understand how to graph this

equation

Any equation you want to graph has to be in terms of y first, meaning y has to be on the left side of the equation alone, and everything else will be on the right side. So for your equation above, in order to graph it, you have to write it as y = (-18 - 5x)/6

do you have a example of the equation on a graph
