Ok my peeps, I'm stuck. What is the last step? Again with the factoring. 1. Original prob. (x + 4)^2 - (x - 2)^2 =[(x+4) - (x-2)][(x+4)+(x-2)] =[x+4-x+2][x+4+x-2] = ??? I don't even know if I did it right in the first place lol. Correct me if I'm wrong yall.

just keep goin

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you simplified it perfectly the expression just simplifies to a linear one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol @ Jah, just keep going? I dont even know where to go from there. Eh w/e I'll leave it like that O.o

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...the first term becomes 2 so and so forth

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12(x+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first term u have: (x+4-x+2) the x's cancel out and the 4+2 becomes 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm having a blonde moment but ok. N Mak thanx.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2nd term: (x+4+x-2)= 2x+2 so all together its 6(2x+2) so factor out the 2 and u get 12(x+1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OMG JAH ! Thanks, I needed a step by step explanation.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

except now cuz i have to go. Good luck
