if I am writing a paper and all my information comes from one source then how do II intext cite.

??

You could always make a citation using numerical superscript, where the reference is then in a footer of that page. Also, as it is only one source, you may wish to add detail such as the page number(s) to which that quote is pertaining to.

First of all, that should NEVER happen! ;) (good writing practices always = several sources) But since it did, lookie here: Your citations (all) depend on what Style or format you are using. These are the two most common: MLA Format: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/02/ APA Format: http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/02/

With one main source, you would probably leave off the author name - to save space/reading aesthetic - and just cite the page and/or paragraph.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could always put it ", says so and so from so and so in so and so,"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first time you mention your source include the title and author in the sentence, then a page number in parenthesis. from there you can just use (xxx) where the x = page number

Blackhole the best :) u should b a fan of me if u can :)

As a rule in APA you should fully cite the first time you refrance your sources. (So & So, Year, p. page number if direct quote only). From then on you can just slap a (So et al., year) at the end of each paragraph, or include one with a page number at the end of a sentance with a quote. One refrance per paragraph is all that is needed.

u should avoid the one source thing and try to find many/several sources
