0.5x+4<0.9x-1 the solution is {x|x blank, blank}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.5x > 5 x > 10 {x|x > 10}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually it's 5 < 0.4x => 12.5 < x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that simplified and it has to be an integer inequality or decimal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, it's an inequality in it's simplest form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.5x + 4 < 0.9x -1. Subtract 0.5x from both sides, then add 1 to both sides and get (4+1 < 0.9x-.5x) (5 < 0.4x). In order to simplify it divide both sides by .4 and get (5/.4) < x 5/.4 is equal to 12.5 so you get my previous answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i write it because i only need to fill in the two blanks
