does a negative over negative always equal a positive? m=-2-4/-6-2= -6/-8 so if correct does this become postitive?
yea i think so.... until u dont have ne other -ve sign
depends on what you are trying to do
a negative number divided by another negative number gives a positive quotient...
always
yes. a negative divided by a negative always becomes positive...and your answer is right, but can be simplified to 3/4
yes if you have two negative numbers on both denominator and numerator, they cancel out since it is like negative one multiplied by whatever the value is so it would be like you are canceling out negative one from both
i dont even know what im trying to do? "Writing the Equation of a line that passes through two points" (2,4) & (-6,-2)
you are finding the slope of that line...
the slope of the line is line the slope of a hill...the bigger the number, the harder to walk up.
so in your case, your line goes up by three units for every 4 units it goes forward.
so the same rules that apply to division still apply on up sorry ive put all this off since 6th grade
yep..the rules never change :)
OH! Thank You!
you know how to go from there on the problem?
or do you need help getting the equation of the line?
