Take a look at the numbers first, simple way is to find factors of each but you can see anyway that 14 is as high as you can go. Then look at the powers of each of the variables that are common (only x) and take the lowest or if they are the same, either.

what about one with 2 variables. 12z^2 yz^3 and 30xy^3 z^4

Same idea, 6 for the numbers, x is the lowest power for that variable, y for that one, and z3 so 6xyz^3
