Spelling in UK/Aus vs USA...

I am in Australia, but can't seem to get my computer to switch from USA spelling to UK spelling.... Just wondering which of these I use in Aus (or which ones are used in the US - I would presumably just use the alternative):
Colour vs color
Realise vs realize
Fiber vs fibre (re: textiles etc)
Thats about all I can think of at the moment, but I'm pretty sure there are others too... Help please? :)

To switch your computer to UK you have to do it in OS install :/ or do you mean in word?

Anyway Australian spellings: Colour, Realise, it think its fibre (and metre, centre etc)

I wonder if AUS spellings are the same as UK as AUS is part of the commonwealth, where I understand that the USA isn't?

Yeah, Ours is most similar to UK (I think there are some minor differences) but definitely not the same as USA.

Generally, American English is the unique one. The UK, Australia, and South Africa tend to share spellings - but even that is not always true. There are differing forms throughout the world: New Zealand, Malaysia, and the Phillipines all differ in the same negligible ways.

Most online translators recognize both/all forms under one indistinguishable English language.

This is because the difference is solely in written form. While one could argue that "Color" and "Colour" or "Theater" and "Theatre" are pronounced differently, the ones who usually do are often interpreting the spelling semantically as the word is fundamentally identical.

All said, here's how to change it:

-------------MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc..--------------
In any MS Office program, go to File>Options (2nd to last, before Exit)

This will open a window (2010 ed.)
On the left, choose Languages.

The first box is Editing Languages. Under that box is a drop-down menu with all the different forms of English you could ever want. Enjoy :)

I am not sure about previous versions of Windows, but here's 7:

Go to Start (or "the Windows Button"), then Control Panel (on the right).

A window will come up.

If viewing by category, choose "Clock, Language, and Region". Then "Region and Language".
If viewing in a list, just look for "Region and Language".

A second window will come up.

It should default to the Format tab,
and the first thing on that tab is a drop-down menu Format:

Just like in the MS Office options, this has all the different English you'd ever want.
