I was doing this problem, regarding area and estimating with finite sums. The problem asked to to estimate the length of a road a car traveled on. It gave me a table that gives me second in intervals of 10, and the corresponding velocity. I read that evaluating at right endpoints should give you a lower sum and evaluating at left endpoints gives you a upper sum. So i eveluated at the right enpoints and got a high sum or a bigger sum, then what i got when i evaluated at the left points. Should i get a lower sum at the right engpoints and a higher sum a the left endpoints?

well depends on the graph doesn't it? if the car is slowing down then the right hand endpoints are lower but if it speeding up the right hand endpoints are higher. if it varies then who knows?

clear yes?

okay thanks
