there's a local maximum at (8, 8e^(-1/2))
I am guessing whoever asks this is long gone
the absolute maximum is given by 8*e^(-1/2) local minimum and absolute minimum is given by -8*e^(-1/2)

oh, sorry, local minimum is -3*e^(-1/2) and so is absolute minimum
