I'm using a lot of text from a web page. In APA format, do I put the entire web URL in parenthesis or a shortened version, or the title of the web page? The Reference I have down okay, but not the in-text stuff.
In APA 6, the in-text citation would include the author's last name and the year of publication or, most likely, the date of last update to the website. If an author's name isn't present, you could use the organization's name as the author. Remember, you'll want to use web sources that are valid and reliable, so in most cases, you will be using information from credible organizations, associations, or institutions; the information on their websites is technically owned and authored by them, so it's okay to use them as the author if specific names of individuals aren't listed in a byline. If you have neither an author nor organization name, you use a shortened version of the website title as well as the date, if available.
