Use the Midpoint Rule with the given value of n to approximate the integral. Round the answer to four decimal places. http://www.webassign.net/cgi-bin/symimage.cgi?expr=%20int_2%5E10%203%20sqrt%28x%5E4%2B3%29text%28%20%29dx%20text%28%2C%20%29%20n%3D4%20

Let \[f(x) = 3\sqrt{x^4+3}\] Result: 2*f(3) + 2*f(5) + 2*f(7) + 2*f(9)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok lets do it. interval is from 2 to 10 so length is 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok done! i was going to write it out but i guess it is kind of silly

OpenStudy (anonymous):

although i might mention that one wold probably write \[(f(3)+f(5)+f(7)+f(9))2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes but its easier to see the fact that it is a riemann sum this way.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It may not be the case that all the interval sizes are the same in an arbitrary riemann sum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or not. i have seen this question now 4 times at least. maybe i should just make a template...

Is it the same person asking it over and over again?
