Find the solution to x^2y'' + xy' + y = 0 in terms of power series in the neighboorhood of the origin. The only real solution that I find is y = 0. Do you know if a solution of the form y = c_1cos(ln x) + c2sin(ln x) , x > 0 is considered to be in the neighboordhood of 0 ?
