force = mass x acceleration ...so force /mass is acceleration or .. inverse of acceleration 1/a is mass/force

The weight of an object is just the product of the mass of the object, and the acceleration due to gravity, and is equal to the force exerted by that object. Hence \(W=F=ma\), where a is the acceleration due to gravity. Thus, an object will weigh more on the earth than it does on the moon (since the acceleration of gravity on the moon is about one sixth that of the earth), even though the mass is still the same.

F = ma, => m =f/a W = mg, => W=(f/a)*g.. which means weight (w)/force(f) =1/a *g
