Anyone have a moment to explain this? (picture coming)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Straight from ALEX

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you supposed to put something in every box?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I am supposed to put something in every box Satellite

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you Saifoo.. I'll give it a watch

-6 7 11 -2 2 ______________________________ drop the -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6 7 11 -2 2 ______________________________ -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6 times 2 is 12 -6 7 11 -2 2 12 ______________________________ -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7 + 12 = 19 -6 7 11 -2 2 12 ______________________________ -6 19

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 times 19 is 38 -6 7 11 -2 2 12 38 ______________________________ -6 19

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh crap i messed up right at the start!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry. don't put that stuff in. i made a mistake let me start over

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6 7 11 -2 2 -12 ______________________________ -6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's ok man, I appreciate you showing me.. I'm trying to go along with your steps on paper

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 times -6 is -12 not 12. that was my mistake

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now it should be right. 7 - 12 = -5 -6 7 11 -2 2 -12 ______________________________ -6 -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 times -5 is -10 -6 7 11 -2 2 -12 -10 ______________________________ -6 -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11-10=1 -6 7 11 -2 2 -12 -10 ______________________________ -6 -5 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 times 1 = 2 -6 7 11 -2 2 -12 -10 2 ______________________________ -6 -5 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2+2=0 -6 7 11 -2 2 -12 -10 2 ______________________________ -6 -5 1 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there is no remainder.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I see.. I follow ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have divided a polynomial of degree 3 by a polynomial of degree 1 leaving a polynomial of degree 2. you read off the answer from the bottom line as \[-6x^2-5x+1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and there is not remainder so i guess you put a zero over the \[x-2\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, so the answer would simply be -6x^2-5x+1 with no remainder represented by 0/x-2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SJsharks: did you wanna scribblar this one as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure uber1337, I think I got it for the most part but practice wouldn't hurt

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That was fun.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes.. helped me very much, thank you so much again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of course, don't mention it.
