If I type it out, it will take a long time........so I suggest you visit the following sites for detailed information...... you can choose what u want......... http://www.askdrsears.com/topics/family-nutrition/food-digestion/what-digestion http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digestion (scroll down to human digestive system) http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/anatomy/digestive/ http://www.medicinenet.com/the_digestive_system/article.htm

Plain and simple: Physical Digestion is the process of reducing the size of whatever substance was ingested (if by a Human via chewing with the teeth and/or churning of the stomache). Chemical Digestion is using Enzymes and Symbiotic Bacteria to break down the aforementioned substance into the raw Biochemicals that your body needs to repair and/or grow (Proteins, Carbohydrates, Lipids, and Nucleic Acids). Also, despite popular belief; stomache acid and bile are actually Physical Digestion, not Chemical just for the record. Stomache Acid acts primarily as a catalyst for the Enzymes in your stomache, and Bile just cause lipids to break apart into smaller pieces. Since they don't change their chemical composition, they aren't technically aren't Chemical Digestion. Hope that answered it enough.
