45

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ignore the 6 and 7 just the same triangle though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well because i have the 45, 45, 90 triangle memorized. hypotenuse is 1, both sides are \[\frac{\sqrt{2}}{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we can derive it if you like

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make a 45 45 90 triangle. because to angles are the same, so are the two legs. make the hypotenuse 1 and call the sides x then \[x^2+x^2=1\] \[2x^2=1\] \[x^2=\frac{1}{2}\] \[x=\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nevermind you are right, the 2 legs are equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whew

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!i gave you a medal for your help!
