WHATS THE RESULT OF 0/0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A limit expression? This is called an "indeterminate form" when you get a result like this, think: I'm not done, I still need to factor or do something to get rid of the 0/0. This video is worth watching. http://patrickjmt.com/calculating-a-limit-by-factoring-and-cancelling/

Things divided by 0 (indeterminate form) have no meaning. Even with limits, u are concerned with approaching 0/0 not 0/0 itself.

Take the number 1. If you divide it by any real number the answer given is a real number itself. That is except dividing by the real number 0. It is difficult to see in reality what would be the quotient of a number divided by 0. Algebraically we can see it makes no sense. For example... let 1/0 = x [multiplying both sides by 0] 1 = 0 [clearly false.] So in mathematical circles we say n/0 is 'undefined' Therefore by definition 0/0 is also undefined.
