3sqrt(x)/14-sqrt(x) I need the answer with steps. I keep getting 3(14sqrt(x)+x/-x+196.
Is (14-sqrt x) the denominator?
multiply top and bottom of fraction by the conjugate of 14-sqrt(x) which is 14+sqrt(x)
If so, do waht jimmyrep said.
yes ok let me try I pretty sure that's what im doing
It should come out to the third of the alternate forms here: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=%283sqrt%28x%29%29%2F%2814-sqrt%28x%29%29
keeps saying it wrong I dont get it!
mine is coming exactly in the third alternate form
right but when I enter it in to math lab it saying its wrong every way i enter it
i make it 3(14sqrtx + x) / (196-x)
Have you tried entering the top as 42 sqrt x + 3x ?
strange - but rest assured our answer is correct
i think math lab got this one wrong everyone It had the hole problem flipped and it was calling it right.
yes
here is my next problem 6sqrt(x)/5-sqrt(x)
Everyone gets medals for determining that mathlab is an retrice
solve it the same way. multiply it by 5+ sqrt(x)
same method fr this - use 5 + sqrt x
U should post that as a new question even if u do it exactly the same way...
o ok sorry
Just that the thread gets a bit confusing for others...
understand should i repost it now?
Sure go ahead, u will get an answer pronto. But u know how to do it now, anyway, don't u?
thanks
