i have an asus p7p55d-e lx motherboard. I assembled my computer and I turned it on. I heard a beeping and a red light flashing. I freaked out and though I had put the power button cable from the case backwards so i switched it and turned it on again. I touched the case and I felt a shock. I switched back and turned on and i still got the red light. Then i tried connecting to a monitor and i still got the red light. Then i tried again and now it wont turn on! Am i fried? I have an external radeon card, an i5 processor socket 1156, 1tb caviar green 7200, and a sata optical drive, all connected t

Use the manual ,you got with "asus p7p55d-e lx motherboard" CHECK LIST -Fix the SMPS in the cabinet ....If it is not fitted. -Fix the Motherboard in the cabinet and put the screws. -place /fix the processor in the socket and place the processor Fan and the connection of fan /if there is one. -place the RAM memory in the respective slot. -place/fix the Video-card(ATI radeon card) into the respective PCI/AGP/PCI express slot according to the model. -fix the hard drive and optical drives- -connect them to the mother board using IDE/SATA cables . -then connect the power supply from SMPS to motherboard, (power supply to CPU on mother board), hard drives, optical drives , processor fan , (floppy drive if there is one) -connect the power supply/reset/LED display connection cables of the cabinet to the mother board ac coring to the pin configuration given in the manual. -setting up the CPU unit is complete. leave it open as a final trouble shooting is pending. set up the keyboard, mouse, monitors, speakers, power cables and connect the respective cables to the sockets. then switch On power supply, TURN on the monitors & CPU. CLOSE the CPU cabinet when you turn off the system.
