x^2+15x+k what makes this a perfect square ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

means?u wanna find the value of k?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

- Yes .

OpenStudy (amistre64):

think of making a perfect square out of what they give you: \begin{array}c x^2&--(15/2)x--\\ | \\ |&\text{how do we calcuate}\\ (15/2)x\\ |&\text{the area to be filled?}\\ |\\ \end{array}

OpenStudy (amistre64):

take half of the xs you are given and construct them to make the frame for a "perfect square"; then the number needed is the area that has to be filled in

OpenStudy (amistre64):

.... that makes better sense in me head lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

- Not in mine . :/
