Find the slope of the line that passes through the points (−6, −6) and (−3, 1).

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i dont think its lost ...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

subtract one point fromthe other; then stack y/x

OpenStudy (amistre64):

x , y (−6, −6) -(−3, 1) --------- -3 , -7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hey amistre plz look at my question after ur done helping here, thx :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y2-y1/x2-x1

OpenStudy (amistre64):

coulda subtracted this way to, doesnt matter: (−3, 1) -(−6, −6) --------- 3 , 7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

m= y2-y1/x2-x1 then we will get this 1+6/-3+6 >>>>> 7/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait so it's a positive 7/3, or a negative 7/3?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the reason i like to stack my points is its easier for me to keep track of the numbers that way

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what do you get when you stack y/x ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also, thank you for showing my the stacking method. It seems easier ^-^

OpenStudy (amistre64):

7/3 is the same as -7/-3 ideally the answer will be just 7/3 tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ chungerforever: it is positive
