A data set can have more than one of which measure of central tendency? median mode range mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

median.

OpenStudy (saifoo.khan):

0 L.Q Median U.Q 0 25% 50% 75%

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mean is average, so only one average. mode is...well, something else. but the median value is the value that is in the middle of the data. so if you have two values that are the same, they could both be the median. basically you have redundancy of values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

example: 123334455567 two modes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok, it's mode. i fail. lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

only one mean, median and range to any data set

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OK SOMEONE TELL ME THE CORRECT ANSWER!! LOL!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

haha, it's mode. i just got the name wrong. but yes, it's mode, for the same reason i posted above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in tonks' example 4 is the mode and since there are 2 4's there are two modes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

MODE

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in my example, 3 and 5 are the two modes, not 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

four is the median, or middle number of my example
