how brain tumour caused as cell division not occur in neurons

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The neuroglial cells are capable of cell division. These cells are affected during tumours.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

tumours means increase in num. of cell and neuron is found in parmanent G0 phase then how cell division occur.....because the cells which are found in Go phase cell division not occur in them..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mature neurons enter the G0 phase because they are deprived of appropriate growth factors, not because they no longer have the capability to divide. If an existing proto-oncogene mutates into an oncogene or the tumor-suppressor genes lose function, then uncontrolled cell division can take place - leading to a tumor.
