What's a real zero? Does that mean there's also non-existant zeros? Even though zeroes are nothing already? My head hurts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When trying to find solutions to f(x) = 0, f(x) being some polynomial, we call the solutions "zeros". Zeros can be real numbers (like 3, 4/5, or 3.33333333) or they can be imaginary (complex) numbers ( like 4+5i, or -3i)

When a problem asks for the real zeros, its just saying not to give the imaginary ones (if there are any).
