Express answer in exact form. Find the area of one segment formed by a square with sides of 6" inscribed in a circle. (Hint: use the ratio of 1:1:√2 to find the radius of the circle.) im still confused on this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1:1:√2 should just say 1:√2. Draw the diagonals in the square, Pythagorus gives u sqrt(6^2 +6^2) =sqrt 72 = 6sqrt2 for the diameter so 3 sqrt2 for the radius.

C'mon, a quarter (area of circle - area of square) After all these exercises u can do that asleep!
